What Is the differnece between a digipak and a jewel case?

A digipak

A digipak is a CD case that is usually split into 6 sections of squares, these are usually  made of card which are made from recycled materials and makes them ecofriendly and then they are placed in a plastic holder. Digipaks are used to promote the Album and are used for the physical sales of them. the digipaks usually offer more than a typical CD as they offer posters, song lyrics and more information on the inside.

A Jewel case

A jewel CD case is a compact disc case that has been used since the compact disc was first released in 1982. these are usually made out of plastic and are less ecofriendly than the digipak. they are usually just a 2 or maybe 4 sided inside and does is not as artistic as the digipaks can be. a jewel case is also used to promote the album and are used for the physical sales of them.
