Evaluation question 3

For my evaluation question 3 which is what have you learned from you audience feedback and what would your target audience respond to this product?
for this question i have created a presentation which talks about my target audience, what they would think and then a little about my questionnaire and the type of audience that have watched and responded to my products. then i have created a you tube video which shows the improvements and the good things my audience have said about my products.

evaluation question 1

Evaluation question 1 was In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge conventions of real media products? In relation to this question I have created a video explaining my ideas, how I was inspired and how I have challenged ideas from other products.
overall I think I have followed the conventions of the indie genre well such as the black and white narrative, the strong message behind it and the use of narrative and performance. However I think I have also developed and challenged some of these convention such as the RGB effect, how I have used specific colours in the video itself as well as in the digipack and poster too. Personally I think it is good to have a difference in your work to make it stand out more in the intended genre and to make it more unique. Which is what theorist Steve neales says, "genres are not systems, they are processe" meaning that genres are supposed to evolve over time otherwise there wouldn't be as many sub genres and new genres as there is today, such as indie-rock and indie-alternative.f

Minor Crisis Website

This is my website for the band minor crisis which follows the same themes as my other ancillary product; my Digi-pak and my poster. the link for the website is (https://laurenjadechapman.wixsite.com/mysite-1) as it could not be embedded, but i have created a presentation which shows and explains why i have used certain elements in my website.

Minor Crisis Poster

This is my poster that i have created for my band minor crisis. i used the same image of the moving train as on my Digi-pack to carry on the same themes through all of my ancillary products. i have also used the same black bold font along with the name of the album which covers the majority of the poster which makes it stand out and catches the eye of the viewer. the color schemes are also the same with the 3D and the red and blue tones which are used on both the packaging and the music video itself. i have also placed the front cover of the album on the album poster as it is obviously promoting that album but also so that audiences know what they are looking for when purchasing it.

Minor Crisis Digi-Pack

This is my Digi-pack that i have created for my band minor crisis. to carry the themes across i used the same 3d effect which distorts and makes the images more abstract which is a common convention in indie Digi-pack and albums such as Arctic Monkeys AM, Imagine Dragons Evolve and catfish and the bottle-man  Balcony. most bands use still life photography or digitally created images. i have chosen to challenge the conventions slightly and use portrait images, although i still think the images are quite abstract due to the 3d effect and the brightness caused by this.
